3 Tablespoon coriander powder |
1 Tablespoon salt (According to your taste) |
How to Make Chicken Akbari Recipe Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1, Prepare the spices (Masala)
To make Chicken Akbari, first Wash the chicken pieces thoroughly with fresh water and dry them after draining all the water.
Now take a pan and put 4 spoons of oil or ghee, and when the oil turns hot, add whole spices green cardamom, cloves, and cinnamon, and let it roast for a few seconds till slight color changes.
Add the finely chopped onions and green chilies, Sauté the onions and chilies until they turn translucent.
After that add the ginger-garlic paste and a few seconds later add finely chopped tomatoes. And also add salt, so that the tomatoes cook quickly.
Step 2, Add the chicken to the pan and cook
When the tomato is half cooked, add the chicken and cook till the color of the chicken gets changes. After that, add all the spices like coriander powder,
red chili powder, cinnamon, garam masala powder, turmeric, and coriander powder. Stir well and let cook properly. Then add the curd and close the pan lid.
Step 3, Add the paste of coconut and cashew paste
As long as the pan lid is closed, prepare a paste of coconut pulp and cashew nuts in the grinder, and add some water as needed so that a fine paste can be made.
When the chicken starts smelling good and the oil starts separating, then add cashew and coconut paste with around 1 cup of water and chopped coriander leaves.
After that, close the lid for 6 to 7 minutes and let it cook.
